Weeknight dinners can be boring, mundane, and it's easy to get stuck in a rut. One of my tricks is keeping a Honeysuckle White marinated turkey tenderloin on hand at all times! Delicious, pre-marinated, turkey that elevates even the simpliest of meals to something special. Just like this roasted Turkey, Pistachio, and Burrata Pizza.

Create tons of unique combinations with flavors and textures from these toppings:
- Add Cherry tomatoes sliced on top give a pop of color and brightness to the dish and creates sort of a bruschetta burrata pizza!
- Thinly sliced prosciutto would be a lovely addition because it gets super crispy when baked in the oven. Prosciutto burrata pizza is actually one of my favorite combinations!
- Infused Olive Oil could add some extra flavor and depth to the flatbread
What Is Burrata Cheese Exactly?
Besides the delicious and sliced turkey tenderloin, burrata cheese is one of my favorite elements to this pizza recipe.
You might actually be wondering, can you put burrata on pizza? If you've had it before you know it's more liquid-y than regular mozzarella but YES you can with the tips below.
How is it different from mozzarella? While they look almost identical when you see them at the store, the burrata is actually a mozzarella shell stuffed with more shredded mozzarella soaked in cream!
It's a uniquely rich and creamy cheese that is a ball of fresh mozzarella filled with shredded mozzarella soaked in cream (called stracciatella!).
The result is a luscious ball of goodness that when you break it open, spills out the stracciatella & is great for sweet recipes too, like this Peach Strawberry Burrata Salade .

The Tips and Tricks
While the process is simple, the order of ingredients really does matter to the overall quality of the dish and ensures you get the best burrata pizza recipe.
Fully cook the turkey tenderloin. I always use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of my proteins. For turkey, you will want to reach 165 degrees.
Be sure to add the burrata cheese at the end as a topping and not before cooking. Since the burrata has the heavy cream in it, it would easily make for a soggy pizza. Instead, add it to the top before serving and you will be just fine!
Don't skip heating the pizza stone. Preheating the oven with the pizza stone in it makes sure that it gets nice and hot so when the crust hits the stone, it starts cooking. This gives you a crispy crust that is perfect every time!
Substitutions
One thing that is so wonderful about our turkey flatbread here is that you can totally customize it to your liking! There are endless possibilties and here are some delicious subsitutions.
- Try the McCormick® GrillMates® Montreal Turkey or Garlic & Herb Tenderloins. These flavors are so bold and would be delicious for this recipe.
- Homeade pizza crust could definitely make a difference here so if you are up for the challenge, swap in homemade dough for the storebought.
- Homemade pesto sauce is also an option! I have a great recipe for a dairy free pesto if you'd want to make your own.
FAQ
Yes! This tenderloin keeps well in the fridge and you could make it up to a day ahead of time.
I would avoid swapping the mozzarella for burrata because when you cook burrata it can become watery and rubbery!
Sure thing! Just don't forget to heat up your pizza stone in it!
I like to put my slices in an airtight container and reheat in my air fryer for the perfect crust again!
