I found a keeper of a party-perfect spinach dip recipe featuring the savory Knorr vegetable soup mix, and I'm ready to share the deliciousness with you all. This creamy, tangy, and cool Knorr Vegetable Spinach Dip is one of the easiest appetizers to serve on a hot summer day next to the pool!

Bowl of knorr vegetable dip.

It's also perfect for picnics and game nights just like my Cream Cheese Taco Dip and Hot Shrimp Dip. We usually enjoy this creamy dip with carrot sticks and chips, but it'll taste equally heavenly with your favorite dippers. It's a pure crowd-pleaser!

Why You'll Love This Recipe

Simplicity is so important to me in my appetizers and side dishes. This easy vegetable dip recipe is no exception. Nothing wrong with some store bought package ingredients to simplify entertaining (Like this French Onion Bean Dip, yum!). Especially for quick summer recipes! Semi-homemade is the way to go. You'll love this easy spinach dip recipe as much as I do because...

Simple Ingredients: We all love dips for their simplicity. This dip takes a few basic ingredients and turns them into a flavorful appetizer that will impress your guests.

Quick and Easy to Make: Mix and chill - that's literally it! I've made this dip on the fly countless times and it always turns out perfect without fail.

Versatile: Whether it's a backyard barbecue, a picnic at the park, or a game night with friends, this spinach dip is an all-rounder. It goes well with just about everything!

Ingredients for Knorr Spinach Dip Recipe

So what all goes into Knorr spinach dip? I bet you have most of these ingredients on hand and won't even have to make a trip to the grocery store!

Knorr Veggie Dip Ingredients.

Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix: Meet the star ingredient of the easy cold spinach dip recipe, guys! That's where we'll get all the yumminess!

Frozen Spinach: It's easier to work with. Just thaw, drain, and add. If you have a ton of fresh spinach, by all means, use that fresh goodness!

Green Onions: Bright, green, and crunchy - damn, yes!

Mayo: Give your dip a fluffy and creamy texture with mayonnaise. For a healthier version, use mayo with an olive oil base.

Sour Cream: A little bit of tang is always welcome in dips.

Water Chestnuts: These crunchy bites add texture and flavor to your dip. Trust me, you don't want to skip this ingredient!

Crackers or Veggies: Bring all those crunchy things to the table to use as dippers!

Garnish: I finish off my dip with a generous parsley and extra green onion - and it's a crowd favorite ending!

Step by Step Instructions

Spinach in a salad spinner.

Step 1: Remove excess water from the spinach by spinning it in a salad spinner.

Step 2: Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl.

Step 3: Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Final plated knorr vegetable dip with vegetable chips.

Step 4: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with crackers, vegetables, or sourdough bread.

Pro Tip! Use a salad spinner to remove excess water from the defrosted frozen spinach. I use this technique in my Lebanese Fatayer Recipe which has a spinach filling and it works like a charm!

Substitutions and Variations

  • Add garlic powder, a bit of ground nutmeg, and some black pepper. Yum! Even some Worcestershire sauce will do a lot of magic to this veggie dip.
  • Serve the dip in a bread bowl with finger foods popping out around it. You could make my easy dutch oven bread recipe to get the perfect round loaf of bread. Just cut the top of the bread off and scoop out the inside!
  • Make a warm baked spinach dip by adding shredded parmesan cheese and some cream cheese to the mix.
  • If you don't love the classic version with spinach, substitute in some chopped fresh broccoli florets, bell peppers or red peppers, or other fresh vegetables!  Just pulse these in a food processor a few times before stirring into the Knorr vegetable dip recipe.
  • Make it a spinach artichoke dip by adding a can of artichoke hearts.
  • Use Greek yogurt, nonfat plain greek yogurt, or light mayonnaise instead of mayo for a healthier twist. You can also use low-fat sour cream for a lighter version.
  • Serve with any veggie sticks, tortilla chips, or veggie straws for a great appetizer.
  • Make it a hearty side dish by spreading it on baguette slices or chunks of sourdough bread.

Tips and Tricks

  • Don't boil the spinach, you can run the bag under hot water to defrost it fully or let it sit in a large bowl of hot water for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the excess water from the spinach. Squeeze out the excess water from the spinach before adding it to your homemade spinach dip. For extra caution, pat the thawed and drained spinach with paper towels. It's important if you want to keep your homemade spinach dip creamy.
  • If you're using fresh spinach, steam it till it wilts!
  • Give your classic Knorr vegetable spinach dip enough chill time for a perfect blend of flavors. The longer it sits in the fridge, the yummier it'll taste! But if you can't wait to dig in (guilty here!) serving at room temperature is fine!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you store Knorr Spinach Dip?

There's only one right way - in the fridge, in an airtight container! ALWAYS! It'll stay fresh for about 3-4 days.

Get ready to sink your pita chips and cucumbers in a bowl full of awesomeness! If you try this recipe, let me know how it turned out. I'd love to read the tweaks you make (if any)!

What is Knorr Vegetable Mix?

It's a dried mix of a whole bunch of veggies! It's a typical pantry staple in a little yellow packet! I remember seeing this in my mom's pantry growing up and it's used to make easy side dishes or an easy way to add flavor to meals.
You can find Knorr Vegetable Mix  in most grocery stores and is definitely a key ingredient to get the best flavors in your dishes! Classic Knorr spinach dip has been a classic use for this mix.

What else can I use Knorr Vegetable Mix for?

The original spinach dip is always a crowd pleaser! But it also adds lots of flavor in easy recipes like soups, baked casseroles, ! Anything I add it to always has a way of disappearing in my house.
