For example, try adding some sliced mushrooms, snap peas, or carrots to the mix.

You can also experiment with different types of rice, such as brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice, to make the dish even healthier.

If you prefer a spicier kick to your meal, you can add some chili flakes or sriracha sauce to the teriyaki sauce.

How to Store Leftovers

If you have leftovers of this delicious sheet tray chicken teriyaki bowl recipe, storing them properly will ensure that they stay fresh for longer!

To store leftover teriyaki chicken, simply transfer it to an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator.

The chicken will keep well for up to four days!

Reheating Your Chicken Teriyaki Bowls:

When reheating, it's best to use a microwave or oven to prevent the chicken from drying out. You may also want to add a little extra teriyaki sauce to the chicken before reheating to help restore some of the moisture and flavor.

Leftover teriyaki chicken can also be frozen for up to three months. To freeze, transfer the chicken to a freezer-safe container and label it with the date.

When you're ready to eat it, simply thaw it in the refrigerator overnight and reheat it as desired.
