Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Feta
  • 12 oz Ricotta cheese
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ tablespoon Garlic powder
  • ¼ cup hot honey
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Pinch of chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
  • Fresh herbs: scallions parsley for topping

Instructions

  • In a food processor, blender, or using an electric hand mixer with a whisk attachment, combine whole milk ricotta cheese, feta, hot honey, extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, dehydrated onion, salt, and pepper, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red chili flakes.
  • Begin blending the ricotta dip and while it's blending, drizzle the olive oil in until it becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Spoon the dip into a serving bowl and drizzle with extra hot honey or extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and chili flakes then serve with warm crusty bread, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Use high-quality cheese – Since this dip is all about the cheese, go for whole milk ricotta and a good-quality feta (preferably block-style for the best texture).
  • Blend until ultra-smooth – A food processor or high-speed blender will give you the creamiest, dreamiest consistency. If it’s too thick, add a drizzle of olive oil to loosen it up.
  • Let it chill for a firmer, spreadable texture, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. If you prefer it light and airy, serve it right away.
  • Make it ahead – This dip keeps beautifully in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just give it a good stir before serving.
  • A drizzle of hot honey, a sprinkle of fresh herbs, and a few extra chili flakes make all the difference in presentation and flavor.
