Equipment

  • 1 wine glass

Ingredients

  • 3 oz Limoncello
  • 2 oz Prosecco
  • 1 oz club soda
  • ice
  • basil or mint for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill the Glass: Start by filling a large wine glass or a highball glass with ice cubes. The more ice, the better, as it keeps your drink cold without diluting it too quickly.
  • Add Limoncello: Pour the limoncello over the ice. The tangy sweetness is the star of this cocktail, so make sure to use a good quality one.
  • Pour in Prosecco: Next, add the prosecco. Tilt the glass slightly and pour slowly to preserve the bubbles.
  • Top with Soda Water: Add a splash of soda water to give your spritz that signature fizz. Stir gently to combine. You could also use tonic water!
  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint. These not only look beautiful but also add an extra layer of aroma and flavor.

Notes

Chill Your Ingredients: For the best experience, ensure your limoncello, prosecco, and soda water are well-chilled before making the spritz.
Use fun glasses: Wine glasses make the best spritz glasses.
Use Fresh Ice: Fresh, clear ice cubes will keep your drink cold longer and won’t affect the taste.
Experiment with Garnishes: While lemon and mint are classics, you can also try adding a few berries, citrus slices, fresh basil, thyme sprigs, or a twist of orange peels for a unique touch.
