  • 1 cup softened butter
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Cream sugar, brown sugar, vanila, salt, and butter together until light and creamy.
  • Beat in the 1 egg yolk
  • Gradually add in the flour
  • Stir in chocolate chips
  • In a couple of batches roll out the dough on a floured surface to ⅛th of an inch thickness. I like to do this between the counter and then cover the top of the cookie dough with parchment or plastic wrap.
  • Remove the top sheet then cut using cookie cutter cut out your shapes (We always use stars, but use whatever cookie cutter you like!)
  • Place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart and refridgerate for 10 minutes
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
